On Sacrificial Rites Etiquette of King Zhou through Western Zhou Bronze Inscriptions

周王祭祀是西周国家重大政治活动之一。西周金文中有不少有关周王祭祀的记载,通过对铭文的爬梳,可以大略了解其祭礼的主要仪节有周王派遣使者召集诸侯臣属助祭、征收祭祀用品、卜日、用尸、设祝、告备、奏乐、宴饮、祭后赏赐等九个方面的内容。

The sacrificial rite of King Zhou is one of the most important political activities in Western Zhou. There are a lot of re- cords about the sacrifices of King Zhou in Western Zhou bronze inscriptions. By analyzing inscriptions, a general understanding about the major etiquettes of sacrificial rites can be got which include the following majors parts： King Zhou appoints envoy to convene of dukes and subjects, collect sacrificial articles, choose divine time, animal sacrifice, pray, fulfill preparation, play music, set banquet and bestow a reward.
