The value of family archives in the contemporary identity recognition

流动的现代性加剧了公众对于身份认同的关注,公众探寻家族历史的欲望愈加强烈,家族档案的社会需求也在不断增加。在上述背景下,本文以档案、集体记忆、身份认同之间的关系为基本分析框架,从身份认同的角度切入,在更广泛的社会背景中理解家族档案的价值,提出家族档案的家族认同机制以及家族档案在当代身份认同中的价值延伸,强调必须在新的社会背景下重新认识家族档案及其价值。

Mobile modernity increases the public＇s focus on identity, more and more people want to explore family history and find the past, Which means the social demand of family archives is increasing. This paper aims to make a better understanding of family archives in terms of social significance under the analytical framework of archives, collective memory and identity. And it points out the identifying mecha- nism of family archives and its extended value in the modern identity. This article emphasize the necessity to re-understand the concept and value of family archives under the social sense.
