The Rise and Decline of Communist Movement in the Philippines

菲律宾共产主义运动起源于20世纪20年代末并一直延续至今,其长期存在的重要原因之一是菲律宾土地分配不公平及由此产生的农民不满。二战后,以1986年为时间分隔点的菲律宾民主转型前时期与民主转型后时期的土地改革都存在着缺陷,土地分配不公平现象以及农民不满依然存在,菲律宾共产主义运动也一直活跃着。菲律宾的案例表明,共产主义运动与土地改革之间存在着显著的相关关系。

Communist movement began in the late 1920s and lasted to the present in Philippines, and communist movement is the result of the inequity of land distribution and thus peasant discontent. After World War Two, taking 1986 as a time separating point, the history of the Philippines can be divided into two periods： democratic transition and land reforms.
