摘要
本文主要研究英语中名形转类的语义偏移现象。经过比较研究后本文认为:名词的联想意义,包括内在附属性质意义和外在附属性质意义,是名形转类的语义基础;而名形转类的过程总是伴随着语义重心由理性意义向联想意义偏移的过程。在研究中,本文总结出名形转类过程中的四种语义偏移方式:语义提取式、形象转喻式、语境阐释式和抽象概括式。
This paper mainly studies the semantic transfer of noun-adjective conversion. The paper concludes that the associa- tive meaning of the noun, which includes inner-connotative meaning and extra-connotative meaning, serves as the semantic motivation of noun-adjective conversion. And in the process of conversion, the semantic transfer can be realized in four ways ： extraction, imagery, context-interpretation and summarization.
