The renovation project and the widening and rein- forcement of bridge on the basis of the original bridge can exp- and the width of the bridge to enhance the stability of the br- idge, to aleviate traffic pressure, and to improve the safety of bridge. This paper mainly expounds the basic design principle of the widening and strengthening of municipal bridge, and puts forward the some construction technology and technical method of the reinforcement of municipal bridge.
