A Case Study on the Bishan Commune:The Possibility of Utopian Practices

以在安徽省黟县碧山村发起并亲自实践的乡村建设项目"碧山计划"为例,从实践过程中的切身体悟出发,探讨了在全球经济一体化和中国急剧城市化的浪潮中,如何保存乡土传统和地方文化,如何在文化、经济和政治层面激活中国乡村社会的活力,如何在—个看似不可能的世界中实践乌托邦式的理想。

This paper makes a case study on a rural self-construction project of Bishan Village of Yi County in Anhui Province. It discusses how to preserve the vernacular tradition and local culture under the global economic integration and rapid urbanization of China, how to activate the rural society at cultural, economic and political levels, and how to realize utopian ideals of mutual economy, sustainable agriculture, and informal political life through the counter-urbanization （or back-to-the-land） movement.
