这个项目中有不少有意义的地方。 首先，这是一项大工程，是新城的首个示范工程，而且它的体量大于单一建筑的体量。其次，如何让设计的住区满足居住密度，而不同于那些遍布中国的典型的超高层建筑。 再次，这个住宅项目是完全可持续的建筑，将太阳能作为主要能源，并将雨水作为再生水，不仅用于房屋，同时可以用于日后灌溉。最后，对我而言其重要之处在于，它是我的一些非单纯模仿传统住宅样式的设计原型，而且对建筑的基本思想的解读蕴涵于新的设计之中。

There were several meaningful parts of this project. First, it was a large project, the first demonstration project for a new city and the scale was larger than a building. Second, how to design housing that can fulfill the density requirements but not in the typical high-rise building that are being built throughout China. Third, this project is completely sustainable producing energy from the sun and reusing water from rain water for houses as well irrigation which must be considered in the future. Final, it was important to me to design prototype buildings that could reflect some of the traditional housing without imitating the style. Instead to understand the basic ideas and include them in a new design.
