Gains and Losses of the Application of Traditional Architectural Decoration in Han Street

本文通过对武汉楚河汉街建筑装饰现状的观察与分析，提炼出了汉街建筑的装饰特点，从而深刻地了解了建筑装饰在中西文化中的差异，并分析了建筑装饰中的利与弊。以期扬长补短，对我们日后做有关历史景观保护、传统建筑装饰等究奠定基础。

In this paper, through the observation and analysis of the current situation of building decoration of Chuhe and Han Street in Wuhan city, the author abstracts the decorative features of the buildings on Han street, so as to deeply underst-and the dif erence of architectural decoration in Chinese and western culture, and analyzes the advantages and disadvanta-ges of architectural decoration in order to bring out the adv-andges of the design to make up for its design weaknesses. Thus, we lay foundation for relevant historical landscape pro-tection, and the traditional architectural decoration.
