Study on Current Situation and Prospect of the Immunotherapy for Hashimoto Thyroiditis

桥本甲状腺炎是一种器官特异性免疫疾病,属于自身免疫性甲状腺病的一种,其发病率逐年升高,是原发性甲状腺功能减退症的主要原因之一,其发病机制尚不明确,目前治疗方案主要为甲状腺激素替代及对症治疗,但其并不能遏制疾病本身进展,最终导致永久性甲状腺功能减退。一些学者在不断尝试免疫治疗、基因治疗等方法,以期达到病因治疗,从而阻止其对机体的进一步损伤亦或治愈本病。随着检测技术的不断发展,病因治疗将成为今后学者的研究方向。

Hashimoto thyroiditis （HT） is a kind of organ-specific immunologic disorder, and also one of the autoimmune thyroid diseases. HT is one of the main causes of primary hypothyroidism. Though the inci- dence of HT is increasing year by year,its pathogenesis still remains unclear. Currently, the treatment for HT is mainly focused on the symptomatic treatment as well as the thyroid hormone replacement therapy, although they cannot suppress the progress of the disease, and finally lead to permanent hypothyroidism. However, some scholars have been keeping to research on immunotherapy, gene therapy and other methods in order to achieve etiological treatment and prevent fresher damage to the body or even cure HT. With the continuous development of detection technology, etiological treatment will become the future research direction.
