The Relations between Thing and Head--A Brief Survey of the Nominal Group

“事物”与“中心词”是名词词组中的两个重要概念 ,韩礼德对这两个概念的具体含义进行了阐述 ,并对二者之间的关系进行了分类。该文从功能句法的角度出发 ,论证了两者在经验意义和逻辑关系上存在的联系 ,并以此为根据对它们之间的关系重新进行了分类。

Thing and Head are two important concepts concerning the nominal group. Halliday expounded the meaning of these two concepts and classified the relations between them into three types. This paper, however, analyses these two terms according to the experiential and logical structure of nominal groups and reclassifies their relations of the basis on the analysis.
