Singing While Playing is the most important applied skill in the teaching of music in normal universities. The questions like what the real aim of the course is and how to fit it in the curriculum system of the music teaching in normal universities call for serious treatment and reflection, as it is a professional competence which university music students must have a good command of. This article, proceeding with the current situation of the teaching of the course, explores how to carry out the teaching of the course, hoping to arouse the attention of the colleagues on it.
