认知诗学视角下意识流小说人物的构建——以《到灯塔去》中拉姆齐先生为例

弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的意识流小说《到灯塔去》因其独特的叙事手段,给常规读者的文本解读及人物构建带来了一定的挑战。然而,小说杂乱的表象下并不是无章可循。研究显示:读者在构建意识流小说人物时,会经历一个从空间构建到空间映射的认知过程,具体表现为:在空间构造语的触发下,读者首先会建立一个以基础空间为背景、人物意识空间为嵌入的立体网络;随着人物意识空间的构建,读者已有经验中的图式或概念隐喻被进一步触发,而映射正是将读者已有的经验图式或概念隐喻与空间人物实现跨越的关键所在。

The unique writing feature in the stream-consciousness novel To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woof causes some challenge to the ordinary readers＇ appreciation. By the schema mapping and projection mapping,the cognitive process in the character interpretation can be illustrated. With the ongoing of the literary discourse,mental spaces will be set up in readers＇ minds and certain schema or metaphoric concept will be triggered spontaneously.Together with the schema mapping or projection mapping,the interpretation of certain character is stored in readers＇ minds temporarily for the further accumulation or modification.
