Through investigation of the Volleyball Games held by township people＇s government and local villagers, the author finds out that the Volleyball Games are one of the most common sports among those villagers. Its flexible rules and various forms are the basic characteristics which reflect more about the local culture than the competing feature. This special form of volleyball games has been a indispensable part of local people＇s lives and influenced their way of living. Investigating and thus concluding from its unique developing mode and searching for relative solutions for its shortcomings could be effective ways to further develop the new rural sports.
