Based on the investigation on standardization reform Last July, Zhang Gang and other seven counselors to the State Council proposed the suggestions on reform of the national standardiza- tion system and standards management system which was highlighted by the central govern- ment, effectively driving forward the release of the Reform Plan this March. All the suggestions have been fully reflected in the final Reform Plan approved by the executive meeting of the State Council. We spoke to Zhang Gang, Counselor of the State Council, at the National Standardization Working Conference about the details of standardization reform in China.
