在现代老龄化社会出现的背景下,从伦理角度思考重建孝道与乡土社会生活方式的可能成为一种现实的需要。中国传统的孝道伦理与乡土社会生活理想,是一种可以为现代老龄化社会提供伦理智慧的思想资源。它所提供的启示是化解现代老龄化社会伦理困境的关键,在于超越个人主义与交换价值观为基础的伦理范式。

This paper analyzes the ethical predicaments of aging in a modern society, examines the connotation of traditional Confucian ethics as well as the local community ethics, and discusses the possibility of reconstructing filial piety and the lifestyle in a traditional local community in contemporary times. It argues that the key to resolving the ethical predicaments of aging in a modern society is to transcend the individualism and the value of financial exchange, which form the foundation of the current ethical paradigm in the world. The authors indicate that the traditional Chinese value of filial piety and its ideal lifestyle in the local community could make a unique contribution as an ethical and practical alternative.
