中外高校网站主页校长欢迎辞语类对比分析

本文梳理了语类的概念,并利用系统功能语言学家哈桑的语类结构潜势理论对中外高校网站主页英文版校长欢迎辞语类进行了对比分析。研究发现,中国高校网站的欢迎辞语类结构潜势与国外的不同:一方面,语类结构潜势受社会文化的制约,或不具有普适性;另一方面,考虑受众不同,校长欢迎辞语类在语义特征和结构潜势方面具有其受众文化针对性特征。

With the Genre theories and the theoretical framework of generic structure potential by the systemic functional linguist Hasan, this paper explores and compares the generic structure potential of the genre of online uni- versity president＇s welcome message from home and abroad. It is found that the online university president＇s welcome messages from China does not share exactly the same generic structure potential with the ones from abroad, namely, the generic structure potential of the latter may not be universal. It argues that the generic structure potential of this particular genre varies according to its cultural context and may be culture-oriented.
