从熟悉走向陌生,从陌生走向匿名,这是人类的社会生活在历史演进中呈现给我们的基本趋势。熟人间的关系是可见可及的,所以,熟人社会天然地具有自治特征,而不需要外部权威和规范的在场。陌生人间的关系是可见不可及的,所以,陌生人社会要求外部权威和规范的在场,只有这样,正义才是可能的。匿名社会让人们间的关系失去了可见性与可及性,也让外部权威和规范的存在失去了意义。匿名社会的出现预示了个体自治的时代的到来。

Our life has gone through a change from familiar to strange, and from strange to anonymous. The relationship between acquaintances is both visible and reachable, making the acquaintance soci- ety a society of self-governance, in no need of external authorities and norms. e relationship between strangers is visible but unreachable, which requires the presence of external authorities and norms to do justice in strangers＇ society. The relationship between anonyms is both invisible and unreachable, making the external authorities and norms of no use. The governance of anonymous society is built on the actors as moral agents.
