By making use of the characteristics of optical fiber＇s fast and reliable transmission, we transmit the identification signal to the power supply side when the feeder equipment fails and then through simple logical judgment, we can achieve the open and latch up protection function so as to en- sure the selectivity of the protection actions when internal failure happens, thus solving the problem in the poor selectivity of distribution network protection and improving the reliability of distribution net- work power supply.
