The paper discusses the origin and purpose,choice of content and continuation of the compilation of＂Gui Sheng＂.It believes that the book is well preserved in existing western Guangdong notes.Taking Guilin as geographical division,the book introduces the poetry and inscription.Its wealth of information is the first hand data in the study of Guangxi literature.Its collection of numerous landscape poems is important data in the study of Guangxi regional literature,travel literature,and the literature of landscape.The inscription and signatures are precious documents to study the writers who traveled and stayed in Guangxi.
