The European Union （EU） is a regional politic-economic union with the highest level of integration in the world. All along, the EU has been a leader in environmental protection and occupies a pivotal position in international environmental affairs. Since the formation of EU environmental policy, it has achieved remarkable success in environmental treatment with its perfect and unique system of integrated environmental policy, not only within the EU but also in the whole world. Meanwhile, it influences the development trend of the world＇ s environmental policies. Therefore, EU environmental policy provides valuable experience and ideas for the formulation and implemen- tation of our environmental policies.
