威克利夫《圣经》是英语语言文化史上第一部完整的英文圣经,它是在威克利夫积极倡导下完成的,分为前期译本和后期译本。两个译本的译者有所不同,更为重要的是翻译原则和译法存在较大差异。后期译本以句子和意思为基础,主要采用意译,更加浅显易懂,倍受英格兰百姓喜爱,传播更广。

Wyclif Bible is the first complete English Bible in the history of English language and culture. It was successfully translated on Wyclif＇s initiative, and has two versions： the Early Version and the Later Version. The translators of them are not the same, and more importantly, the translating principles and methods of two versions are greatly different. Based on the sentence and its meaning, the later version employs mainly the principle of free translation, and is more clear and easy to understand, so England people love it very much and disseminate it more widely.
