从语篇衔接探究汉诗英译的人称确定与意境传递——以杜甫《月夜》四种英译本为例

Analysis of the influence of personal reference on artistic conception in English translation of Chinese poetry from the perspective discourse analysis

语篇是语言系统中最高级别的单位,而衔接是组成语篇的语义关系的手段,指称又是语篇衔接中的一个重要组成部分。汉诗词作为特殊的文学艺术形式在中国乃至世界文学史上都有非常重要的地位。汉诗词的一个显著特点是含蓄,汉诗词为了意境的塑造往往会省略人称,而英语诗歌为了追求真实的美会运用大量的人称指称。从语篇衔接的角度探究在汉诗《月夜》英译过程中,译文人称的选取对意境传递的影响。

Cohesion is critical for the creation of discourse, the highest form of the language system, and personal reference is the most critical part of cohesion. As a special form of art, Chinese poetry plays an important role in Chinese literary history and the world＇s literary history as a whole. Featured with connotation, Chinese poetry usually omits personal reference, which is, however, widely adopted in English poetry. This paper aims to explore the influence of personal reference on artistic conception as reflected in four different translation versions of ＂Yueve＂ bv Du Fu from the perspective of discourse cohesion.
