In considering of the role of basic chemistry and the dilemma basic chemistry teaching facing in higher vocational education, a goal - oriented teaching model is explored. To inspire learning interest and improve the quality, teachers should select cautiously teaching contents, teaching methods and evaluation mode according to the requirements of students and teaching objectives under the direction of the principle of sufficiency and necessity.
