To do well the mass ice-snow sports in northern cities will make for developing the harmonious society with the socialist core values. After discussing the mass ice-snow sports in social construction, the paper thinks that the mass ice-snow sports in northern cities has the effects and values which improve all the citizens＆#39; physical iftness and spiritual civilization, coordinate their interpersonal relationships, advance the development of harmonious society and the national stability and unity. It suggests changing the ideas, making sure the social function of mass ice-snow sports, enlarging the publicity, strengthening the awareness, guiding the people＆#39;s participation, enhancing the construction of venues and facilities, improving the surroundings of iftness exercises, paying attention to the guidance and scientiifc research to call for scientiifc iftness. These ways of implementation may be as a theoretical reference for playing the good effect of mass ice-snow sports on the social construction.
