Under the background of Pre-qin farming culture, The Book of Songs and The Book of Changes, having reciprocal influence, are regarded as the root of Chinese culture. Their differences lie in that they have different cognitive ways of nature and social life: one is perceptual and artistic, the other is rational and logical. During the drastic transformation of the Pre-qin social system, the mutual influence in the thought of both books also had great influence on the other schools. July is an farming poetry, with profound philosophical thinking, especially the two concepts in The Book of Changes--harmony and change--are greatly influenced by that of July.
