通过官宦之交,沈周所引领的吴中文人圈不断延展扩充,并由此开启了明中期吴中文学流派、吴门画派、吴门书派的全面繁荣,其广泛的官宦之交所积累的丰富的社会资本,至少还蕴含以下意义:(1)缓解经济生存问题和声名得到迅速传播;(2)礼物交往背后的政治意义;(3)也使作为文化符号的"沈周"具备了更为丰富的象征价值和符号价值。

By means of contact with government officials, Wuzhong literati circle, led by Shen Zhou, had further expanded, which helped to start the prosperity of Wuzhong Literature School, Wu School of Painting, and Wu School of Calligraphy in the middle Ming dynasty. The rich social capital, accumulated by making frequent and ex- tensive contacts with government officials has included the following functions： firstly, relieving his economic and survival pressure and spreading his reputation quickly; secondly, the political meanings by giving gifts; thirdly, giving Shen Zhou, as a cultural sign, a richer symbolic value.
