古代文学作品中的"玉人"呈现出一定的隐语色彩。《莺莺传》和《西厢记》中的"玉人"指谁,历来众说纷纭。通过考析原典,旁及文本生成环境等,认为小说和戏曲作品中的"玉人"所指并不相同。《莺莺传》中的"玉人"指张生;《西厢记》中的"玉人"则指崔莺莺。

The＂yuren （beautiful person）＂in ancient literary works belongs to enigmatic language. There are various opinions as to the who does the＂yuren＂refer to in Biography of Yingying and The Romance of West Chamber. Through analyzing these books, we believe that the concept of ＂yuren＂ varies in fictions and plays. In Biography of Yingying, it refers to Zhang Sheng, while in The Romance of West Chamber, it refers Cui Yingying.
