摘要
近代《纽约时报》涉藏报道历史文本总体勾勒出美国主流媒体视域下的中国西藏图景。其涉藏报道倾向、议题设置被深深打上了浓厚的东方主义情结。《纽约时报》给美国民众提供了西藏的最初印象,即产生先入为主的第一印象效应,《纽约时报》构建的西藏形象对西方关于西藏的认知和话语产生了重要影响。
The Modern New York Times＇s Tibet-related reports described Tibetan image in perspective of American mainstream. Its tendency and agenda setting had strong Orientalism complex,which played a decisive role in the formation of Tibet impression of Americans. The Modern New York Times＇ Tibet-related news provided the impression of Tibet ,which had influence and effects on the westerners＇ cognition and attitude about Tibet.
