Contemporary Change of Ethnic Deity Statues in Yuanshui River Area

沅水流域的民族神祇曾经都是各原住族群最为神圣的神,其塑像具有神圣不可侵犯之处。新中国成立以来,这些神祇塑像发生了一些变化。田野调查表明,这些民族神祇塑像在未来将会从庙宇走向更加广阔的公共场所,他们自身也从信仰符号逐渐演变为公共文化符号。

The ethnic deities were the most sacred God among Yuanshui river and were inviolable .Since the founding of new China in 1949 , there had been some changes .The field investigation shows that these ethnic deities in the future will be moved from the temple to the broader public places , of whom are gradually evolved from religious symbol to the pub-lic cultural symbols .
