吉狄马加是当代重要的彝族诗人,他以诗歌传递民族心声,建构精神家园,表达对人类的无疆之爱。尤其是对自然破坏、文化断裂和人类丧失家园的锥心之痛,表现出浓厚的忧患意识。诗歌抒情方式上偏于直抒胸臆,构成明快简洁又沉郁顿挫的艺术风格,为当代彝族汉语诗歌的发展作出了积极贡献。

Jidimaja is an important contemporary Yi poet. By conveying feelings of the minority peo- ples and building a spiritual home for them, his poetry expresses his boundless love for mankind and, a- bove all, his worries over the nature tortured, the culture fractured and the home lost. In terms of expres- sion, he uses a direct pen that is concise but toned. His contribution to the development of the contempora- ry ~i poetry is phenomenal.
