This paper reviewed the development courses and achieved results of Zunyi pepper production, and pointed out the major problems affecting the development. Besides, the paper analyzed its development advantages and proposed ecological countermeasures for sustainable development, including concentrating the region layout, promoting excellent cultivars, strengthening the demonstration of ecological cultivation modes and improving the support policy.
