Modern Romantic and Classical Lyric—Mu Dan's Learning from and Transformation of Yeats' Poems

穆旦在西南联大时期的浪漫诗风无论是取材还是创作方法上,都与叶芝有着很大的关联。穆旦不仅从叶芝那里习得了总体性的自然主义关照,还汲取了叶芝早期浪漫诗歌的形式技巧;与此同时,穆旦倚靠古典传统,对叶芝诗歌艺术进行转化、改造和创新,并形成了"穆旦式"的浪漫。

Whether at material selection or at creation method,Mu Dan＇s romantic style in the period of Southwest United University is strongly associated with Yeats. Mu Dan not only acquires an overall naturalism care from Yeats,but also learns the skills of form from Yeats＇ early romantic poetry. Meanwhile,based on classical tradition,Mu Dan transforms and innovates Yeats＇ poetry and forms Mu Dan＇s romantic style.
