Ecological Civilization: Institutional Implications of Socialism

无论是为了应对当前日益严峻的生态环境形势的现实问题,还是为了社会主义的自我完善、自我发展,社会主义中国都必须将生态文明建设作为一个内在的、重要的和长远的目标予以坚持,必须始终将生态和谐的价值意蕴内化于制度设计与安排当中。为此,必须深入阐明生态文明的概念、价值理念及其丰富内涵,同时还必须澄明将生态文明价值理念内化于社会主义制度伦理中的可能性与必要性。

Whether it is in response to the practical issue related to the current increasingly serious ecological environment,or for the self- perfection and self- development of socialism,socialist China should always insist that construction of ecological civilization be regarded as an inherent,important and long- term goal and should always internalize the value implications of ecological harmony in the process of system design and arrangement. Hence,we should further illuminate the concept of ecological civilization,its value ideas and rich connotation while at the same time clarifying the possibility and necessity of internalizing the value ideas of ecological civilization in the institutional ethics of socialism.
