《新世界报》研究述评

Review and comment of research on the New World Daily News

游乐场小报作为20世纪的一种特殊的媒介,是近代市民文化的一种见证和记忆。《新世界报》作为近代上海的第一份游乐场小报,从1916年12月14日创刊伊始,存在10余年,于1927年3月停刊。它不仅影响了其后的游乐场小报的形式和内容,也记载了这一时期上海的一个侧面,是用文字写就的史料。就收集到的专著、期刊论文等内容来看,目前学界关于《新世界报》的研究大致集中在3种角度:1)以新闻史学类著作最为典型的关于《新世界报》的一些常识介绍;2)从社会文化史的角度考察,其中多数以《新世界报》中记载的"新世界"游乐场资料来研究近代上海的大众休闲娱乐;3)从文学的角度来剖析游乐场小报文学作品。但关于《新世界报》的研究从研究角度、研究内容的深度和广度上还可以更进一步。

As the special media space of the twentieth century,Playground Tabloid was a witness and memory of the modern Shanghai’s civil culture.The New World Daily News is the first playground tabloid of the modern Shanghai, which was published on December 14,1916,closed down in March,1927 and existed more than a decade or so.It had deep impact on the shape and content of the following Playground Tabloid and recorded the history during this pe-riod.In terms of the contents of the monograph and journal collected,academics focus on three axes about the study of the New World Daily News at present：1）General profiles about the New World Daily News by the works of the history of Journalism;2）From the perspective of cultural history,modern Shanghai public leisure and entertainment were studied through most of the playground materials recorded in the New World Daily News;3）playground tabloid literary works were ananlyzed from the perspective of literature.But the research about “New World Daily News”from the perspective of research and the depth and breadth of research content needs to be further strengthened.
