摘要
Huang Baosheng was born in Shanghai in 1942 and graduated from the Department of Oriental Languages at Peking University in 1965, majoring in Sanskrit and Pall. He has been working at the Institute of Foreign Literature in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences （CASS） since 1965. Now he is a CASS member and Director of Sanskrit Research Center. His works and translations cover Chinese and Indian literature, poetry, philosophy and Buddhism, including ＂The Ancient Indian I Jterature＂, ＂Indian Classical Poetics＂, ＇% Collection of Works on Sanskrit Poetics＂, ＂The Mahabharata＂, ＂The Upanishads＂, ＂The Bhagavad Gita＂ and ＇% Collection of Sanskrit-Chinese Buddhist Sutras＂.
