This paper impels the cultivation of occupational ability by work-study integration, explores the innovative construction of the provincial comprehensive reform trial for veterinary major （pet care direction） from talent cultivation scheme, curriculum system, teaching content, teaching model, teaching method, training model, evaluation system, teaching group, teaching resource and teaching management, striving to construct the major to be a major with extremely distinctive characteristics in contemporary vocational talent cultivation.
