新时期,大学生素质教育日渐深入人心,大学英语教学是实施素质教育的重要组成部分。英文报纸内容广泛,题材丰富,词汇新颖,是外语课堂教学的有效延伸,本文拟通过创办具有高职特色的校园英文报纸来培养知识、能力、素质三方面协调发展的高素质人才,达到大学英语教学素质教育的目的。

The idea of college students＇ quality-oriented education has already been deeply rooted into people＇s mind in the new period. College English teaching is an important part in carrying out quality-oriented education. English newspaper with a wide range of contents, rich literary forms and new words extends English teaching in class effectively. This paper intends to explain how to foster high-quality talents with knowledgebili- ty-quality coordinated development by starting English newspaper to achieve the aim of quality-oriented education in English teaching.
