外来词不仅是一种语言现象,也是一种社会和文化现象,它是文化交流和语言接触产生的结果。本文主要探讨了外来词产生的方式以及英汉外来词在数量、范围、借用方式等方面的特点,试图通过对比分析的方法,找出中英外来词的相同和差异。

Loanword is an important linguistics phenomenon, but also a social and cultural phenomenon. It is the result of cultural exchange and language contact. This paper is intended to discuss the ways of loanwords borrowing as well as quantity, range of source languages and borrowing strategies of loanwords between English and Chinese. This paper aims to find the similarities and differences of loanwords between English and Chinese through eontrastive studies.
