In recent years, the complexity of organization has become a new hotspot research in the field of modem organization management. The reach of complexity in the university organization is also arising. A historical perspective on university organization complexity is helpful for us to perceive university organizational complexity more thoroughly. This article describes and discusses the university organizational complexity in a systematic and historical manner scanning from the time irreversibility, the complexity development of university, the complexity of knowledge evolution and university function, the changes of students＇ learning style and the like.
