On the Eternity of Emotion——Emotional Description in Chinese Female Novels of the 20th Century

将中国现当代女性小说,从1920年代至2000年代约80年的历史,大致以20年为一个阶段划分为五个时期,分析这五个时期具有代表性的女性小说,从小说所描写的人物情爱心理和情感感受,可以看到,小说中人物的情感并没有时代的区别,而在任何时代都同样丰富和强烈;又由于小说总是倾向于写人们的极端情感体验,所以,这近一百年的女性小说,也贯穿着婚恋中的极端情感、不幸的事件。这些极端的情感和不幸事件,在不同的时代里可能产生的原因不同,但是,人物角色从中体验到的强烈感受和深刻的痛苦,是一样的,而且小说人物在婚恋家庭中获得的幸福感在这一百年里并没有随着时代的进步而增减。

Chinese Female Novels from 1920s to 2000s can be divided into five periods .By analy‐zing the typical novels from each period ,it can be summarized that there is no difference on the sub‐ject of emotion from all these various eras in that all these emotions are so abundant and intense .As novels are inclined to describe human beings’ extreme emotion experiences ,all the female novels in this past century have focused on extreme emotions and unfortunate incidents in the love and marria‐ges .Although the causes of these emotions and incidents might be different ,the intensity and depth of the pain imposed on the characters have been the same and these characters’ happiness in love and marriages hasn’t changed in this century .
