Life and death is a frequently-discussed topic in different author’s works, through which they express their unique understandings of life and death. Mrs. Dalloway is one of the masterpieces of Virginia Woolf. In the novel, tactfully using dual narration, Woolf voices her view on life and death through two different characters Clarissa and Septimus——only through death, can people truly understand the meaning of life and acquire rebirth. The paper is to discuss the view on life and death in Mrs. Dalloway through these double narrations.
