Normal operation of the ice gate is an important safegard for diversion-type hydropower station located in cold region to operate safely in winter. The design schame of the ice gate of Xiaoshankou Second-level Hydropower Station was analyzed.The measures to ensure the ice gate to operate safely were given,which can be used as reference for similar projects.
