摘要
突破传统的城市文学形态框架,对《简·爱》中的城市进行社会学、历史学和文化学的交叉研究,将作家真切体验的"现实之城"与文本意义上的"心灵之城"结合起来,小说描述了"罪恶之城"与"希望之城"。文本对罪恶之城的叙事主要体现在城市是滋生荒淫、卑劣、贪婪等罪恶的温床,是诱惑人性堕落、腐化的陷阱,揭示了"希望之城"的想象既流淌着古老哲学的源流,也折射了现实中的城市弊病。
Against the traditional city literature form,an interdisciplinary research involving sociology,historiography and culturology is conducted on the city in Jane Eyre. It indicates that the novel depicts the evil city and the city of hope through combining the city in reality experienced by the author herself and the city of soul in the textual sense. The narrative of the evil city in the text is mainly embodied in that city is the devil’s workshop. The paper also reveals the imagination of city of hope stems from the ancient philosophy and reflects the city malpractice in society as well.
