中国僧侣南亚、东南亚抗战宣传活动考述

The Chinese Buddhists' Propaganda Activities in South and Southeast Asia during the Second Sino-Japanese War

中国佛教领袖太虚大师接受国民政府委托,承担佛教外交重任,组建佛教代表团,访问缅甸、印度、锡兰、新加坡、马来亚等国家,联络佛教感情,宣讲中国抗战真相,反击日本欺骗言论。乐观等青年僧人成立国际佛教宣传队,赴缅甸拜访佛教高僧,揭露日本侵华罪行,唤起缅人同情,呼吁中缅佛教联合起来抵抗侵略,实践爱国护教的国民使命。

During the Second Sino-Japanese War,Master Taixu,the Chinese Buddhist leader,received the diplomatic mission from the national government. Bearing the Buddhist diplomacy,Master Taixu formulated the Buddhist delegation and visited the countries such as Burma,India,Singapore,Sri Lanka,Malaya. The aim of this visitation was to communicate with the Buddhists in the South and Southeast Asia,and propaganda the truth of the Second Sino-Japanese War. Meanwhile,Leguan and other young monks established the international Buddhist propaganda team and visited Buddhist monks in Burma so as to expose the crime committed by the Japanese army and arouse the sympathy of Burmese. They appealed Chinese and Burmese Buddhism to combine with each other and resist the aggression of Japan so as to protect their countries and their religion.
