Feeding and Nursing Experience of One Case of Triplets Giant Panda Cubs

对初生三胞胎大熊猫幼仔进行喂养护理,其中2只体质较虚弱,采用在育幼箱内双手覆盖幼仔人工增温、全身温水棉球按摩和诱导进食等措施,辅以人工近距离采集足量母兽初乳,巴氏消毒后分别饲喂3只幼仔。再根据幼仔个体情况决定由母兽喂养或者放置育幼箱进行人工喂养,最后轮换由母兽喂养。较好地平衡了3个幼仔的个体差异,使3个幼仔都顺利存活且生长发育良好,为大熊猫的喂养护理积累了经验。

In order to take good care of a set of newborn triplets Giant Panda cubs of which two were relative weak, the cubs were removed into the nursery box, their bodies were covered with staff hands and massaged with cotton dipping warm water to help increasing their body temperature, and induced to eat. Meanwhile, enough colostrums after being pasteurized of panda mother were collected to feed the three babies artificially and separately. And then the cubs were given to their mother to feed or kept inside the nursery box to feed artificially in their individual situation. Further- more, they were fed by their mother in turns. Therefore, the three cubs grew equally and healthily. All of these methods would provide useful experiences for feeding and nursing the Giant Panda.
