As the important part of the culture, idioms are of abundant cultural connotation and historical sources.As a new perspective on translation study, the eco-translatology offers a new stage for illustration of idioms and understanding of cultural gaps.Taking the eco-translatology as the basis, this article offers the new horizon and broader field for study on idiom translation through analyzing the similarities and differences of application of memes of translation and translation as adaption and selection in idioms.
