From Hope to Despair and From Proposal to Silence——The Observation Weekly's Presentation on Kuomintang and Its Diachronic Change

以《观察》周刊对国民党及其政府的呈现和历时性演变为切入点,在对《观察》有关国民党及其政府的文章内容、主题、来源、数量进行历时性变化考察的基础上,描画了其在不同时期、不同背景下有关国民党及其政府的文章内容、主题之变化,分析了这种变化背后蕴含的自由知识分子的心态演变历程。

Based on document analysis and data statistics, this paper tries to not only describe the Observation Weekly＇ s presentation on Kuomintang and National Government, but also explore the change of its articles＇ content, subject and attitude in such presentation. The result shows that the Observation Weekly＇ s content and subject in presenting Kuomintang and National Government have gone through a kind of change from proposal to silence, and that the Observation Weekly＇ s attitude to Kuomintang and National Government has gone through a kind of change from being hopeful to dropping into despair. By such a research, this paper aims to enter Chinese liberalism intellectuals＇ spirit world and touch their soul and psychology.
