Lu Danlin and its Modern Character Study

民国时期的近代史研究一直处于较为边缘的地位,当主流学者都集中精力于上古、中古史研究时,一些非主流学者则担负起近代史研究的重任,陆丹林即是其中之一。他以史料搜集和考证为根本,结合传统史学方法,对近代人物进行细致入微的描述,虽著述不多,但其对近代人物的研究方法和史实重建,均对当今人物研究有借鉴意义。通过对陆丹林的史学和人物研究进行论述,不仅能改变其以往的文人形象,更能从一个侧面展现民国史学的多面性。

The modern history research was not of importance during the period of the Republic of China when the mainstream scholars concentrated on the study of ancient history, and some non mainstream scholars then shouldered the burden on the study of modern history, as Lu Danlin being one of them. Based on the historical data collection and textual research, as well as combined with the traditional historical methods, Lu described in details on the characters of modern times, Lu, with limited article works, provided significant references for the study of characters for contemporary research. Through the discussion of Lu Danlin's characters and historical research, not only Lu's literary image of past time has been changed but also the versatility of the Republic of China history has been shown.
