A Brief Account of Contemporary Taiwan and Hong Kong Parallel Prose

当代台湾、香港骈文是中国骈文史不可或缺的组成部分。从1949年迄今,台港两地不断有人写作骈文,著名作家有成惕轩、谢鸿轩、饶宗颐等。题材多属应用性,如庆贺、赞颂、祭?、序跋、书启等,也有一定数量纯文学性作品。台港作家们继承古典文学和二、三、四十年代现代文学的文脉,保持传统风格,讲究对仗、用典、修饰等语言技巧,具有较高的艺术水准。出版了一批骈文专集和骈文研究著作,在两岸三地具有比较广泛的影响。

Contemporary Taiwan and Hong Kong parallel prose are indispensable parts of Chinese Parallel Prose history. There were many writers of Taiwan and Hong Kong who have been writing parallel prose sinee year 1949. Among them are sueh famous writers as Cheng Tixuan, Xie Hongxuan, Rao Zongyi. The parallel prose mosdy deals with practical subjeet, applied to, for example, eelebration, praise, condolences, prefaees and postscripts, letters, etc. There are also some pure literary works. The writers of Taiwan and Hang Kong inherited the context of the elassieal literature and the modem literature of 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. They kept the classical style, paying special attention to the language art - antithe- sis, allusion, modification, and so on, with high artistic level. Their published eoUeetions of parallel prose and research works on parallel prose have a wide influence in the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
