On the Cultural Spirit of the Historic Publications of Tongji University

1949年以前的同济历史出版物现存篇目为120余种,其中实物为102种,体现了以"中德友谊,文化桥梁"为特征的德国学术与文化精神、以"脚踏实地,服务社会"为特征的实用与科学精神、以"群策群力,通力合作"为特征的合作与团结精神、以"同舟共济,自强不息"为特征的镇静与奋斗精神、以"同心协力,济人救国"为特征的济世与救国精神、以"革新猛进,学术先锋"为特征的创新与开拓精神、以"全面发展,追求卓越"为特征的人文与艺术精神。

There are more than 120 kinds of existing publications published before liberation in Tongji University. Among them, 102 are entity magazines. All these publications symbolize the academic and cultural spirit of Germany characterized by Sino-German friendship and functions as cultural bridges, the practicality and applied science spirit characterized by being steadfast in serving the society, the cooperation and unity spirit characterized by collective wisdom and joint efforts, the calmness and striving spirit characterized by pulling together in times of trouble and constant self- improvement, the salvation spirit characterized by unity and salvation of the people and nation, innovation and pioneer spirit characterized by innovative academic pioneers, and artistic and humanistic spirit characterized by integrated development and pursuit of excellence.
